Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) will open a gymnasium specifically catered for women so that its female students and employees feel more comfortable doing fitness activities.

UUM sports centre director Shafferi Rejab said the gymnasium, costing over RM91,000, will be opened by Vice Chancellor Datuk Dr Nordin Kardi on Feb 26.

Presently, the university’s students and employees were quite shy to use such facilities shared with men, he said.
